The game is aimed to a younger audience so the general aesthetic should be playful and simple. This will hopefully be achieved by a cute art style and bright colour palette for the assets. After doing some research of the existing games that I’m inspired by, I see that there is a common theme of outlines and flat vector illustrations. Additionally, smooth, rounded shapes are also very prominent. This is something that I will experiment with during second semester when I focus on the characters and environment.

Colour Palette:

Using a colour palette generator website, I pulled the main colours from my mood board images to get an overall feel of which colours to use when designing my assets. These will likely be bright, vibrant and colourful. I will avoid darker shades and low saturations to emphasise the positive feel.
