Can we make games to change the world?

Why games?

Create a world that has its own rules - let people explore that world (you can teach them through that world)

Monopoly - Initially designed to be education - What's the problem with land? What can we do about it?

"a practical demonstration of the present system of land grabbing [...] to understand different approaches to property ownership" - Elizabeth Magie

A system of play that people can use to understand how the world works - how society could work - spread the idea - help people take action

Patent ran out and someone copied it and it sold as Monopoly.

Why cooperative?

Games where everyone is working together against a common challenge

More open about your thinking

Able to strategize with others

Not just fighting each other
