I originally intended to work with a music student who showed interest in my game during last semester. Unfortunately, due to other commitments, she couldn’t continue working on Cogshel. She did produce an initial audio file during initial development stages, however, after ***playtesting v1,*** it was decided that it needed to be changed.

REFLECTION

I wanted playful yet relaxed sounds which was quite difficult to find but I think the files that I chose were effective and added to the uplifting game feel. It would have been nice to have custom made music for Cogshel, which I will try to continue with for the WSA and London shows.

I didn’t have previous sound design experience, and simply had too many other tasks, which made it hard for me to implement into the game at a high standard.

I am still pleased with what I found working with online materials available to me, and players still seemed to thoroughly enjoy the music selection.
